Zhongnan Binjiang: A Design Inspired by Harmony

A Modern and Tranquil Display Sales Project by Binglin Liu

With a modern simple design style, Zhongnan Binjiang project showcases a sense of superiority and extravagance in a subtle manner. Designed by Binglin Liu, this display sales project embodies the concept of "harmony" and creates a serene space away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Harmony is a concept that represents peace and tranquility, where everything is in balance. The sky and the earth, the mountains and the water, all coexist harmoniously, creating a serene environment. Zhongnan Binjiang project aims to evoke a sense of peace and calmness that comes from experiencing the passage of time. Just like a tea ceremony, where one reflects on their experiences, this project allows visitors to reconnect with their original nature.

What sets Zhongnan Binjiang apart is its unique design approach. The project utilizes a high-grade gray as the main color, complemented by shades of gray-blue and indigo as embellishments. This color palette creates a tranquil atmosphere, providing a quiet oasis amidst the busy world. The design embodies the pursuit of harmony, where everything is in its rightful place, allowing all things to flourish and thrive.

The realization of Zhongnan Binjiang project involves the use of various materials such as birch, fabric, metal, and composite materials. These materials are carefully selected to bring the designer's vision to life and create a space that exudes elegance and sophistication.

The project features an exhibition space with two model rooms, showcasing the design's versatility and functionality. It provides a glimpse into the possibilities of incorporating the concept of harmony into interior design, specifically in sales offices and model rooms.

From December 2018 to March 2019, Binglin Liu worked diligently on the Zhongnan Binjiang project, taking inspiration from the ancient Chinese philosophy of the Doctrine of the Mean. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony in one's life. By integrating the surrounding terrain, social environment, and culture, the project aims to create a serene private space for the owners, allowing them to find tranquility amidst the chaos of modern life.

One of the major challenges faced during the design process was how to seamlessly combine the concept of "harmony" with modern life. The complexity of the Doctrine of the Mean required careful consideration and creative solutions. However, through meticulous research and thoughtful design choices, Binglin Liu successfully overcame these challenges and created a space that embodies the essence of harmony.

Zhongnan Binjiang project has been recognized for its exceptional design and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate excellence in both aesthetics and functionality, meeting professional and industrial requirements. Zhongnan Binjiang project stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
